Student Government

The Student Government Association serves as the voice of the student body. Run for office, help make decisions about your college, and make known your opinions about the needs and concerns of fellow students.

Besides having a role in decision-making, you’ll be making friends, meeting with college administrators at campus forums, and networking with community leaders and fellow college students nationwide.

Your college Student Life Office has information about how to join student government, what events it sponsors and what SGA can do for you.

Cedar Valley College’s Student Government Association was created to represent, ensure and voice the rights and needs of the students. To uphold the well-being of student life on campus, the Student Government Association communicates with administration and District offices in order to build a stronger educational institution. By contributing to community service and participating in student leadership activities you not only contribute to the improvement of Cedar Valley College but to yourself as well. If you are interested in bettering yourself and your community by joining SGA, be sure to pick up an application in room D103 or D104 in Building D. All SGA members must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and is expected to devote at least one day a week for meetings and/or volunteer service.
