Spread the Word About the Dallas Opportunities Fair

This article appeared in the March 27, 2018, issue of thstudent newsletter.

We've all known what it's like to hit hard times, but we don't have to let our friends and family stay in a tough spot.

The future is right around the corner with the Dallas 100,000 Opportunities Initiative Fair & Forum. Tell everyone you know between 16 and 24 years old who are neither working nor in school that their next big opportunity comes April 5 at Fair Park.

And the best part? The fair is free!

The fair will feature up to 30 national and local employers who will not only meet with people but also interview on the spot.

Attendees can also receive help:

  • Perfecting interview skills with one-on-one coaching
  • Putting a resume together or improving on a current resume
  • Filling out job applications
  • Putting together outfits for job interviews
  • Pursuing paths to continue their education (DCCCD will give an up-close look at our welding program to anyone interested)

Register for the free event (with free parking!) online before the event April 5.

Know someone who needs help registering? We've got you covered. For help with registration, visit any Workforce Center today.
