Claudia Robinson Administrator Awardee
Claudia Robinson, the Administrator awardee, served as district director of marketing and communications for 29 years. She was the first college marketing director in the Metroplex to coordinate/promote the colleges using radio jingles and print campaigns, the first to coordinate radio and TV campaigns in Spanish and the first to use electronic messaging on DART buses and trains.
Claudia was a charter member of the Texas Association of Community Colleges Communications Council; she was a contributor to the statewide legislative advocacy program assisting all community colleges; she was the statewide coordinator /assistant producer of the American Council on Education video on the value of Texas community colleges; and she was an officer of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Communications Commission of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
In retirement, Claudia has been named a “Sage” member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations and serves as a mentor to other marketing professionals. She lives in Georgetown, Texas, where she volunteers her time and efforts to a community theater group. She also makes presentations to various groups in the community about her extensive international travels to increase people’s knowledge and understanding of the world from a global perspective.
