1974  Groundbreaking Ceremony for Cedar Valley College

1977  College Opens with Dr. Floyd Elkins as President

1978  Begins Offering Campus-Based Veterinary Technician Program; First Graduation Ceremony Held in May with Three Graduates

1981  Completes Requirements for Full Accreditation of Its Veterinary Technician Program by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)

1991  Dr. Carol Spencer Appointed President

1993  Accredited as Independent Institution by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; Reaffirmed in 2003 and 2013

2001  Distance Learning Veterinary Technician Program Becomes Accredited by AVMA

2003  Dr. Jennifer Wimbish Appointed President

2004  Begins Operating the Cedar Valley College Center at Cedar Hill

2005  New Building for Student Services (Building L) Opens

2007  30th Anniversary Celebration Featuring Kirk Whalum/Wayman Tisdale Concert at Meyerson in February 2008

2008  Launches First Early College High School Program and Emphasis on Dual Credit Enrollment

2010  New Allied Health/Science Building (Building M) Opens, Becomes Gold LEED Certified in 2012

2010  New Industrial Technology Building (Building H) Opens

2014  Alpha Zeta Omicron Receives Top Phi Theta Kappa Award - Most Distinguished Chapter

2015  Top National Faculty Award Presented by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) to Dr. Suryakant Desai, Professor of Accounting

2016  Dr. Joseph Seabrooks Appointed President

2017  40th Anniversary Celebration Featuring Campus Gala Event in May 2018 to Raise Student Scholarship Funds

2018  College Enrollment Reaches All-Time High, Surpassing 8,000 Students
