Gerald W. (Jerry) Lemons is the former general manager of HILCO Electric Cooperative, president of HILCO United Services Corporation and president of the Lake Whitney Water Company. He joined the faculty of Cedar Valley to teach in its new Logistics program in the Fall of 2015. He holds a Specialist in Education (S.ED.) postgraduate degree from the University of Kentucky; a master’s degree in procurement management from Webster University in St. Louis; and a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Lieutenant Colonel Lemons served honorably as a commissioned officer in the U.S. military for more than 24 years, in the U.S. Army with Joint Services assignments with all different military branches as well as with Canada, Germany and other NATO forces. Service assignments included commands at the company and battalion levels: as an airfield commander in Vietnam, a deputy brigade commander in Germany, a task force commander in England, and director of mission operations at the Lexington-Blue Grass Army Depot during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He also completed assignments with NORAD/Space Command and NATO, where he was responsible for strategic intelligence exercise planning and evaluation for the NORAD command post and the deployment and evaluation of the Patriot missile system in western Europe. Military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry for Heroism and numerous other Army commendation and Foreign Service medals.

Previous employment included serving as a program planner for the North Central Texas Council of Government and as a program director for the Dallas Youth Services Corps.

An experienced “impact” employee who turns problems into profits, his passion is turning stagnant companies into thriving, vibrant success stories. He is a Certified Master Trainer professional by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Commission (MSSC) for Logistics Associate and Logistics Technician training courses.
