Pete Geisler

Pete Geisler has been in the real estate profession since 1973 and an instructor since 1985. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and has done postgraduate work in international relations at the University of Iowa and in real estate at Southern Methodist University.

He began his career in commercial real estate and property management and has served on the board of directors of the Dallas Apartment Association and in various capacities on Realtor boards and committees. Former broker/owner of two real estate companies, he currently works for a major Dallas-area brokerage firm. His civic involvement includes serving as past chair of the Best Southwest Economic Development Coalition, chair of Leadership Southwest, chair of the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce and past president of that city’s park board.

He is certified by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to teach all 14 core courses and Mandatory Continuing Ed (MCE) courses at Cedar Valley and was co-founder of one of the first proprietary MCE providers in Texas. He conducts regular real estate courses at a proprietary school in Dallas and continues to teach a variety of MCE courses throughout Texas. He is a life member of Texas Real Estate Teachers Association (TRETA).

He is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, having logged more than 5,000 hours of flight time as an aviator in an operational squadron and as a Navy flight instructor. He left active duty with the rank of lieutenant commander and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, among other honors.
