Program Coordinator and FacultyRichland College
Lamrot Bekele joined the DCCCD in December of 2003 and now serves as program coordinator and faculty in Richland’s Accounting department.
She has worked as an accountant, senior accountant, college finance manager and IT auditor at the DCCCD Service Center and Mountain View College, where she also taught accounting courses as an adjunct faculty member.
Before joining DCCCD, she worked for 11 years in accounting departments for a financial institution and in the retail industry. Her teaching experience includes both undergraduate and graduate-level accounting courses in both classroom and online settings.
Lamrot earned an associate degree in accounting from Addis Ababa Commercial College and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Addis Ababa University, both in her native Ethiopia.
She also holds a master’s degree in accounting and information management from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas and also a certified fraud examiner (CFE).
