Bettye Crenshaw, M.S., LPC

Adjunct HDEV Faculty

Bettye Crenshaw began teaching Human Development courses for Cedar Valley College in summer 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a double major in English and communication arts from Dallas Baptist College; and a master’s degree with a major in counseling and minor in psychology from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University-Commerce).

Specializations include guidance, vocational, special education counseling and midmanagement. She is also a licensed professional counselor (LPC). She retired from the Dallas Independent School District after 35 years as an educator, including serving as high school English teacher, guidance counselor, dean of instruction and elementary principal. Before joining the faculty at Cedar Valley College, she served as an educational consultant.
