History

The study of history involves analysis and interpretation of the past, examining past events and circumstances from the perspective of the present. Various courses at the colleges of DCCCD may include Texas history, U.S. history, western civilization, world civilizations and Mexican-American history.

History courses are listed under the four-letter rubric (course prefix) HIST.

Taking history classes at Cedar Valley College is an affordable way to get started on a path to a brighter future. Whether you’re taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university, or for personal enrichment, our history curriculum will give you the foundational skills you need.
