English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The ESOL curriculum is designed to develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, grammar and writing in English as preparation for college-level study.

To get started with ESOL classes, you'll need to take an English placement test, then follow-up with an academic advisor. View rubrics for ESOL courses.

Taking ESOL classes at Cedar Valley College is an affordable way to get started on a path to a brighter future. Whether you’re taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university, or for personal enrichment, our curriculum will give you the foundational skills you need.
