As the Chief Human Resources Officer for the DCCCD, you will be responsible for continuing the transformation of human resources and talent development into a strategically network-focused and service-oriented operation. Your ability to use your expertise to coach and guide both directly and indirectly at all levels throughout the system will be a critical consideration.
Among the initial challenges you will face in the position will be the design of an updated human resource platform as a part of the new enterprise resource planning system for the District. This will require your advanced skills in strategic risk-taking, change management, and collaboration. A second immediate challenge will be in using the results of a significant external review of policy and practice impacting faculty load to provide a more clearly aligned and updated strategy for fair employment and salary in this important work group.
The DCCCD has served more than three million students in its 50+ year history. The current full-time administrators, faculty, and staff number approximately 3500. The District offers competitive salaries, an attractive health benefits package including no-cost medical coverage to the employee, and a retirement package through 403.b investments or the Texas Teacher Retirement System. There is no state-based income tax at this time, and the Dallas area continues to be attractive to economic development partners that keep the local economy vibrant.
