Cedar Valley College presents full-day summer camps for youth that focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) at no cost to the participants. The camps are aimed at students ages 14-17. Except for Black Girls Code, the camps are open to both boys and girls. In the registration form, please choose one camp for your child to attend. CYBER DEFENSE SECURITY
This camp will train students in correct and safe online behavior and teach students critical principles of cyber security.
Date: 6/11/18 - 6/29/18
Time: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Boys & Girls age 14 – 17 years
CODING WITH DRONES
The camp will provide opportunities for students to increase awareness of drone building and drone careers by constructing and programming drones to fly.
Date: 6/18/18 – 6/29/18
GIRLS IN CODING
This camp will introduce programming and technology to a new generation of female coders who will become builders of technological innovation and of their own futures.
Date: 6/18/18 – 6/22/18

MOBILE VIRTUAL REALITY CAMP 1
This camp will teach students the basics of game programming and scripting, and will allow students to implement the development of 3D games and character design.
Date: 7/09/18 - 7/20/18 (Camp 1)
BRINGING MATH TO LIFE
This camp will immerse students in the critical thinking required at the highest levels of math.
Date: 7/09/18 – 7/20/18
Camps will take place on the Cedar Valley College main campus, 3030 North Dallas Avenue, Lancaster, TX 75134. Following registration and before the start of camp, you will receive the room location information. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
