CVC Faculty Dan Rogers receives honors
Dan Rogers

Dan Rogers, speech and drama professor at Cedar Valley College, was honored this past week at the League of Innovations Conference with the John and Suanne Roueche Excellence Award. This honor celebrates outstanding contributions and leadership by community college faculty and staff. Rogers is the author of "The Student Success Manual" a supplement to the best-selling speech communications text in colleges and universities across America, "Understanding Human Communication", by Oxford University Press. He has created five murder-mystery dinner theater scripts performed before sell out audiences as an annual event at Cedar Valley College. Rogers was also Cedar Valley College’s representative to the first Cisco College Core Curriculum Conference; a founding member of the Student Ambassadors Organization at CVC; and co-founder of the college’s Toastmasters Club. This past fall, Rogers received the Minnie Stevens Piper Excellence in Teaching Award at a ceremony held by the Dallas County Community College District. Rogers and a select group of DCCCD employees were honored for their dedication and service during a celebration at Richland College titled "Sweet Success." During the ceremony, their creativity, innovation and devotion were acknowledged as college and location award recipients were recognized with district-wide awards for their work. Congratulations Dan!
