Tuition and Fees

Program expenses are variable depending on several factors:

  • Previous college experience applicable to degree requirements
  • Residency status (for general studies/Level 4 courses)
  • AAHA membership status

Based on current tuition costs of $319 per course, completing all courses in Levels 1 through 3 of DEVTP will cost $6,699 if you are an AAHA member. Non-member tuition is $389 per course or $8,169 for completion of Levels 1 through 3. This cost does not include tuition and fees for general education courses and additional vet tech courses required for the degree. Payment for all courses must be received upon registration.

The total cost of the program, including general education, is approximately $10,000 for all tech courses (materials not included) and approximately $12,000 for the entire program. Tuition for Level 4 and general education courses are dependent upon the student's legal residence. Costs to complete the entire program vary based on residency status and the method used to fulfill general education requirements.

Financial aid cannot currently be used for levels 1-3.

Level 1-3 courses are not eligible to receive the 1098 T tax form. Only general education and level 4 classes are eligible for the 1098 T form tax deduction.

For only $50 per year, students can join AAHA as a veterinary support staff member to receive the AAHA member rate! For more information on Technician or Practice Team membership, please contact AAHA Member Services at 800/883-6301 or visit the AAHA Member Center.

Tuition and fees for the Level 4 veterinary technology courses and general education courses are based upon the current Dallas County Community College District tuition schedule.

Students with previous college credits that transfer for general education course requirements will have a reduced total expense. For information on transferring previously earned college credits, please contact the DEVTP office at CVCVetTech@dcccd.edu or 877/353-3482.

We accept MyCAA tuition assistance. Please contact 877/353-3482 for information and registration instructions.
