Cedar Valley College > About Cedar Valley > Service Area Information
Cedar Valley College serves a young to middle-aged mixed ethnic population. The typical Cedar Valley student is often a first generation college student who works either full- or part-time, and who plans to transfer to a four-year institution.

About half of the CVC service area households include children. More than 15% of the residents have college degrees and another 26% have attended college but not earned a degree. The largest group of working residents are engaged in professions or business, followed by wholesale and retail trade. Slightly more than half the population represent ethnic minority groups.
