Fall 2008
100% refund: Before August 25, 2008
70% refund: August 25 - September 11, 2008
25% refund: September 12 - September 17, 2008
No refunds are available on or after September 18, 2007
The refund policy of the District is based on the fact that tuition provides only a fraction of the cost of offering educational opportunities. When a student enrolls in a class, he/she reserves a place that cannot be made available to other students. In addition, the original enrollment of students represents a sizeable cost to the District regardless of continuance in that class. Therefore, a refund is made only to students who officially withdraw from the institution or reduce their semester credit hour load by officially dropping a course.
Refunds are issued in the form of a check mailed to the address on the student's records, and may take up to 45 days to be processed. Tuition paid by credit card will be credited back to the credit card account.
Courses that are shorter than a semester have a refund schedule that is proportionally shorter. Contact the Admissions Office at 972-860-2994 for specific refund dates for short-semester classes.
