Upward Bound

Upward Bound is a federal TRIO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. This program is free and provides support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. It also provides opportunities for those in the program to succeed in pre-college performance and ultimately in higher education pursuits.
El Programa Upward Bound es un programa federal de TRIO patrocinado por el Departamento de Educación de los Estados Unidos. El programa es gratuito y provee ayuda a los estudiantes de de preparatoria que están a punto de entrar a la Universidad. Upward Bound también ofrece oportunidades de apoyo para que los estudiantes de preparatoria obtengan mejores calificaciones y los alienta a que continúen con su educación superior.
Meeting Times
Upward Bound meets on scheduled Saturdays from 8:00AM to 12:30PM during the academic year and for six weeks in the summer, Monday through Friday, on the Cedar Valley College campus. You may pick up an application from your guidance counselor or stop by the Upward Bound Office (C226) at Cedar Valley College. If you have any questions, please stop by or give us a call at (972) 860-8065.
Summer Office Hours:
June 16 - 30: Monday - Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Thursday and Friday office closed for student overnight college visits.)
July 1 - 25: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
There is no cost to the student. The United States Department of Education pays all costs. Students also receive a stipend for active and regular participation.
