Police Department Information
The Cedar Valley College Police Department is charged with the personal safety of students, employees and visitors. The Police Department is staffed by eighteen licensed and certified Texas peace officers. The department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patrol of the campus is performed by foot and automobile.
The Cedar Valley College police officers have full arrest and enforcement authority and possess all the powers and privileges and immunities accorded police officers in and by the state of Texas. Sworn personnel are empowered by applicable provisions of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, and Texas Education Code, and the rules and regulations promulgated by the Board of Trustees of the Dallas County Community College District.
The City of Lancaster Police Department and the Cedar Valley College Police Department maintain a concurrent jurisdiction agreement to provide the faculty, staff, students, and visitors with the best possible protection for those on campus.
