How to Apply
Welcome to the Cedar Valley College Office of Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs. Cedar Valley College's Financial Aid and Veteran Affairs personnel provide the personal touch with honesty and integrity to all those who may need our services.
General Eligibility Requirements:
To receive Federal Financial Aid, the following general eligibility requirements must be met:
- Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Be either a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. *
- Selective Service (If you are male).
- Not have been convicted of an offense involving the possession or sale of an illegal substance.
- Not owe a refund on a Federal grant or be in default on a Federal educational loan.
- Have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent on file in the Admissions Office.
- Enroll in at least 6 hours for most Financial Aid programs.
- Sign up for a NetMail e-mail address for notifications and updates. It is highly recommended.
- You MUST declare a program of study. To select an eligible degree or certificate program, log in to eConnect and visit FA Program Selection
*If you are not a citizen and therefore are not eligible for federal aid, you may still be eligible for Texas state aid, if you qualify as a Texas resident.

- Apply for a PIN (www.pin.ed.gov) (For you and your parents)
- Gather all the proper documents
- Financial Aid Application Process Funds for applications received after these dates may be limited.
