| Dallas County Community College District has set up Priority Deadlines to make sure that if you qualify for certain types of financial aid, an award will be processed before the first day of classes. If you do not meet the Priority Deadline, you may have to pay for your tuition and books out of your pocket. |
Cedar Valley Suspension Deadline Dates are as follows:
Summer I 2009:
All financial aid suspension appeals are due in the Financial Aid Office by June 12, 2009. Appeals turned in after this date will be mailed back and you will need to resubmit for the next semester. Students must submit a pay fee receipt along with required documentation. Students are responsible for payments that become due to the college while an appeal is being considered.
Summer II 2009:
All financial aid suspension appeals are due in the Financial Aid Office by July 13, 2009. Appeals turned in after this date will be mailed back and you will need to resubmit for the next semester. Students must submit a pay fee receipt along with required documentation. Students are responsible for payments that become due to the college while an appeal is being considered.
Fall 2009:
All financial aid suspension appeals are due in the Financial Aid Office by September 7, 2009. Appeals turned in after this date will be mailed back and you will need to resubmit for the next semester. Students must submit a pay fee receipt along with required documentation. Students are responsible for payments that become due to the college while an appeal is being considered.
Spring 2010:
All financial aid suspension appeals are due in the Financial Aid Office by February 1, 2010. Appeals turned in after this date will be mailed back and you will need to resubmit for the next academic year. Students must submit a pay fee receipt along with required documentation. Students are responsible for payments that become due to the college while an appeal is being considered.
During peak time periods, appeals may take up to (6) weeks to process. Students are responsible for payment of tuition and books. No other financial aid is available while a student is going through the appeal process. Notification of appeals are issued through electronic communication. Make sure that your e-mail address is updated.

Missing Important Cedar Valley e-mails?
Students with spam blocker programs may not receive messages from DCCCD. e-mails sent from our school will have the following format: name@dcccd.edu.
cvcfava@dcccd.edu will send students an e-mail as soon as we receive their report from FAFSA. If you are a credit student, or a Continuing Education (CE) student enrolled in a credit class, you are eligible and encouraged to request a free and secure e-mail account at: https://www1.dcccd.edu/netmail/input_ssn.cfm

Disbursement Dates (Grants and Loans)
Dates given are the dates when the process begins for all of DCCCD. This means you may not receive your disbursements (if eligible) on the listed dates or the day after. It usually takes approximately 2 -3 weeks to send out all the disbursements.
FAFSA: You can complete your FAFSA after your tax forms have been filed with the IRS. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the application. If you are doing a renewal application you will need your PIN . You will need yours and your spouse's (if married) or possibly your parents' (for dependents) 2006 tax return, W-2's and any other tax information or income documents to complete the FAFSA application.
