Roger Dismore, Professor, Music Coordinator (Chair)
Teaching load: Survey of the Music Business, Lab Band, Co-op Internship supervision, Recital series booking; other duties include scheduling and staffing of all music classes, hiring and supervision of adjuncts, degree plan modifications, and certification of music graduates.
Mr. Dismore received both his B.M.E. and M.M.E degrees from UNT in Denton, Tx.. While attending UNT, he played lead alto in the renowned 1:00 Lab Band for two years, performing on the "Grammy" nominated albums "Lab '75" and "Lab '76."

Arlington Jones II, Professor

Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Texas Tech University. He holds a Master of Music in Music Performance (specializing in Jazz and Composition) from Southwest Texas State University (renamed Texas State University). While at Texas State University Arlington trained under the direction of Dr. James Polk, former musical director for the legendary Ray Charles.
Arlington is the keyboard player for Bassist and former NBA star, Wayman Tisdale. He has also shared the stage with remarkable musicians, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, David "Fathead" Newman, Red Holloway, Dee Dee Warwick, Paul Brown and more. Arlington is involved in a variety of music organizations including the Sammons Center for the Arts and the Dallas Jazz Orchestra that sponsor community events to help promote jazz appreciation. Periodically, he visits with youth in schools and organized clinics to heighten their awareness of jazz history and music theory.
Arlington published his first book of piano duets, At Play, published by Neil A. Kjos Publishing Company. He has been commissioned by Kjos as a music newsletter columnist and songwriter for future print music publications.
Arlington has distinguished himself as a successful independent artist and producer under his label, Zamaria Records and with his band the Arlington Jones Trio. He has three CD releases with Zamaria Records, The Author And The Source, Move The Heart, and Arlington Jones Solo Sessions: Peace That Passes All Understanding.
