Teacher Preparation Program
Want to make a difference in a child's life?
Consider a career in elementary education.
What could be more important than helping a
child learn to read, solve a math problem or discover how plants grow? Teachers convey a love of learning and discovery, and give children valuable tools they can use throughout their lives - tools they can use to make their own discoveries.
Cedar Valley College helps prepare future teachers to play a variety of roles in the classroom: educator, motivator, guide, counselor and disciplinarian. In the Cedar Valley Teacher Preparation program, you'll learn about new advances in education, how to use technology, and creative ways to inspire students to reach their full potential.
If you would like to prepare for a career as a teacher in Pre-Kindergarten to grade 4, or 4th through 8th grade, take a look at the Cedar Valley College Teacher Preparation Program. Earn your Associate in Sciences degree in Teacher Preparation and you'll be qualified to work in a number of child development fields. Or, if you wish to pursue certification as a pre-k-grade four elementary teacher, transfer your Cedar Valley Teacher Preparation courses to any four-year university and earn a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.
