Introduction to the Humanities focuses on the study and appreciation of the fine and performing arts and the ways in which they reflect the values of civilizations. (3 credit hours) Cedar Valley Students at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth Texas.
 

What does it mean to be human?

By exploring various art forms Humanities 1315, Fine Arts Appreciation

  • sharpens our awareness, broadens our world, and fosters our sense of wonder.
  • enables us to examine who we are personally and collectively in relation to individuals and cultures different from ourselves.
  • sharpens our ability to distinguish between fact and opinion.
  • exercises the critical process.
Humanities 1315 fulfills the Humanities requirement for an Associates Degree from Cedar Valley College.
