Camelot

Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner
Music by Frederick Lowe
Based on "The Once and Future King" by T.H.White

Fabulous music such as: Camelot, If Ever I Would Leave You, What Do the Simple Folk Do, I Loved You Once in Silence, Guenevere, How To Handle a Woman, The Simple Joys of Maidenhood

Camelot is the story of ideological quests and the complications of relationships, of a vision of greatness and the tragedy of the moral obstacles that got in the way. Arthur's noble visions for right, honor, and justice are like every man's desires to experience even one shining moment of greatness. All of us should be able to find moments of connection: whether in his initial struggles to find his destiny...
"I'm always walking down a winding dimly-lit road, and in the distance I see the outline of a thought. Like the shadow of a hill. I fumble and stumble, and at last I get there; but when I do, the hill is gone."

Or his rising above personal agony to react with nobility and not just humanity:
"This is the time of King Arthur, and we reach for the stars! This is the time of King Arthur, and violence is not strength and compassion is not weakness."

Or his ultimate summation of individual greatness...
"...what we all are... less than a drop in the great blue motion of the sunlit sea. But it seems some of the drops sparkle. Some of those drops DO sparkle!"
