Are you READI for online learning?
Have you ever wondered if taking an online class is for you? Do you have the right skills, personal drive and time it takes to be successful as a distance learner? If your answer to both of these questions is "I don't know," then READI is for you.
The Readiness for Education At a Distance Indicator (READI) helps you determine your level of readiness for taking online courses. READI asks questions on a variety of topics including: how well you use a computer; how motivated, organized and self-directed you are; and how you prefer to learn new information. As part of the assessment, you will also test your on-screen reading speed and comprehension.
Your scores on the READI online assessment tool will not prevent you from being able to take online classes, nor will your scores impact your grades in courses you may already be taking. READI is simply a tool for success that helps you understand your strengths and weaknesses as you prepare to learn online.
After you complete the READI assessment, you will view a webpage detailing your scores in easy to interpret graphs and text. In addition, if READI determines that you may not be prepared to study at a distance, it will provide you with links to resources that can help you become better equipped for online classes.
If you think online learning may be for you, then give yourself a head start on success by completing the READI assessment today. For questions or more information about the READI online assessment tool, contact Janell Nelson 972-860-8092.
