Mission Statement:

The mission of Cedar Valley College Academic Advising is to foster successful teaching and learning experiences. Academic advising engages students in developing academic pathways and educational plans for life-long learning.

Important Registration Information

  • Late registration is no longer available. You must be registered for courses prior to the first class meeting. Students cannot register for classes that have met once. Attendance at the first class meeting is mandatory.
  • Students on Academic Probation with a GPA(1) less than 2.00 will have an earlier registration deadline.
  • All Suspension, Dismissal, and Indefinite Dismissal student must submit reinstatement appeal by the appropriate deadline. See the academic advising department for more information.

Meeting with an Academic Advisor

All students entering college for the first time are required to meet with an Advisor. Advisement sessions are scheduled after you have completed an Advising Information Session and Assessment Testing. For Advising Information Session appointments, call Academic Advising at (972) 860-8262. Online Registration is now available to current and former students who meet the following criteria:

  • TSI statuses of complete, exempt, waived or have taken an approved TSI test in reading, writing and math.
  • Good academic standing
  • No active restrictions or blocks
  • email address on file with Admissions
