Mission Statement:

The mission of Cedar Valley College Advising Department is to assist students in identifying and pursuing defined academic pathways and educational goals, in order to prepare students for success.

Important Registration Information

  • Late registration is no longer available effective Fall 2011. You must be registered for courses prior to the first class meeting. Attendance at the first class meeting is mandatory.
  • All Suspension, Dismissal, and Indefinite Dismissal student must submit reinstatement appeal by Friday, December 23 to the Academic Advising Department.
  • Students on Academic Probation with a GPA(1) less than 2.00 will have earlier registration deadlines.
  • ALL probationary students must be register by Friday, January 6.

Meeting with an Academic Advisor

All students entering college for the first time are required to meet with an Advisor. Advisement sessions are scheduled after you have completed an Advising Information Session and Assessment Testing. For Advising Information Session appointments, call Academic Advising at (972) 860-8262. Online Registration is now available to current and former students who meet the following criteria:

  • TSI statuses of complete, exempt, waived or have taken an approved TSI test in reading, writing and math.
  • Good academic standing
  • No active restrictions or blocks
  • email address on file with Admissions
