Fredrick Sanders


Fredrick SandersFredrick Sanders is the Music Director for Church Of The King, in Mandeville, La and has worked globally on stage, in film as well as television. Mr. Sanders has earned his Associate in Arts degree from Weatherford College in Weatherford, Tx. and Bachelors Of Music from Texas State University in San Marcos, Tx. For the last 20 years he has been nationally and internationally recognized for his accomplishments as a performer, composer and educator.

His passion for music began in grade school while studied classical cello. He developed his love for learning as a student at Dallas Arts Magnet High School, in addition to being a conservator student at Southern Methodist University Meadows School Of The Arts. Working with fellow students such as Roy Hargrove and Erykah Badu, and clinician cellist, Yo-Yo Ma has given him a large range of musical perspective.

In recent years he has been commissioned by Wynton Marsalis to accompany and record with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra on piano. He has also record with notable artist such as Nora Jones, David "Fathead" Newman, and Doctor John. He has given performances at Chopin Conservatory Of Music in Warsaw, Poland. Touring Japan, Europe, and our great county has allowed him to teach and learn from the most prominent thinkers and institutions of higher learning in our world.

Hearing great music played with passion and integrity, has inspired a life of learning that is on going for Fredrick. His vision is to reach young artist and seasoned listeners alike, and help them with this process of communicating melody and song with others. By bridging the gap of non-formal and formally trained artist, the present, and future Arts community will be enriched. His heart is to share his gift and understanding with others, by helping them to efficiently get the most from their talent. He is dedicated to the effort of coaching students as they learn that their talent is a gift from God, and they should share it with others in spirit and truth.
