Teacher Preparation Program

Want to make a difference in a child's life?
Consider a career in elementary education.

What could be more important than helping a Photo of a little boy, seated on the floor, playing with blockschild learn to read, solve a math problem or discover how plants grow? Teachers convey a love of learning and discovery, and give children valuable tools they can use throughout their lives - tools they can use to make their own discoveries.

After the completing the Teacher Preparation Program at Cedar Valley College, students are ready to serve as educator, motivator, guide, counselor and disciplinarian. You'll learn about new advances in education, how to use technology, and creative ways to inspire students to reach their full potential.

The Teacher Preparation program prepares students for a career as a teacher in pre-kindergarten to fourth grade, or fourth through eighth grade.

Students can earn an associate degree that transfers to a four-year university, or may pursue a certificate.
