Welcome ! To the Adjunct Faculty Online Handbook

We are excited to have you on the Cedar Valley College team. You are important to our students and campus because you are in the classroom.

Thanks to a cross-functional team of CVC colleagues, we have made great strides in completing a written plan for training and professional development that encompasses all of our employee categories. This plan will not only help you respond proactively to student development in a traditional teaching method, but will also assist with the evolving hybrid and online teaching methods. We have created a learning environment of excellence addressing the needs of each student. Each student is important to us as we provide the support that each adjunct will need to assist our students in achieving their goals.

At CVC our mission is to prepare students to live in a dynamic world. Additionally, the vision of Cedar Valley College is one that builds a community of leaders through student success. We are committed to the vision of making a difference in the lives of students.

In addition to the above, we will continue to focus on ethical and professional leadership, inclusiveness and collaborative teaching. We will also offer you the opportunity to participate in our many sessions on technology and classroom management training, as well as insightful book reviews.
