TEMPORARY ROLLS - How long is the temporary roll kept?
Temporary rolls are issued at the beginning of the semester and reflect enrollment through the last day of regular registration.
CONTRACTS - Are contracts considered a special employment agreement?
Yes, it is very important that adjunct faculty sign their contracts the first or second week of class. Any discussion about your contract should be done with your coordinator or division dean.
PAY - When and where do I pick up my paycheck?
DCCCD has mandatory electronic payroll. Part-time instructors are paid monthly in equal sums during a regular semester and in two equal sums during the summer sessions. Paychecks are directly deposited to the banking institution of your choice and verified by your access to eConnect for payroll information.
AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT - What do I do if I need audiovisual equipment for my class?
AV equipment requests can be made through Medial Services (8151).
CHILDREN IN CRISIS - What do I do with the children of students in my class?
Students should be informed that it is campus policy that children are not allowed to attend class and that it is prohibited for children to be unattended on campus.
FAMILY EMERGENCY - How can I be contacted in case of a personal emergency?
You should advise family and friends to call the College Police (972-860-8286) in case you need to be reached.
MAILBOX - Is there a central spot where I can pick up and/or leave mail/messages?
Mailboxes for all part-time faculties are located in the Adjunct Office, Room A-108.
PERMANENT CLASS ROLL - When and where do I turn in the permanent roll?
The permanent class roll is generated on the twelfth class date for the fall and spring semesters and the fourth class day for a summer session. Return your permanent class roll to the Adjunct Office at the end of the semester as a part of your checkout process.
EMAIL AND ECONNECT - May I use my email address in place of the college email address?
No, each employee is requested to complete the form for email privileges. Messages you receive from both students and staff will be in email format and your log-in will allow eConnect for payroll and classroom/student information.
OFFICE SPACE - Where can I go if I need to prepare for class?
The Adjunct Office has tables, chairs, and computer equipment for your convenience.
PARKING/PARKING STICKERS - Is there a designated area for faculty parking? Do I need to obtain a CVC parking sticker?
There is no designated parking area for faculty. Currently, parking stickers are not being issued.
SUPPLIES - Where can I get supplies such as chalk, erasers, Scantron sheets, etc.?
These may be obtained from the Adjunct Office or the Division Office.
TYPING - Where can I get course materials typed?
The Adjunct Office is ready to meet all your typing, duplication, and overhead transparency needs. You can also email copying needs to CVCADJ@dcccd.edu.
