Adjunct Faculty Online Handbook

Beginning of the Semester

Quick Reference Guide for Accessing your Class Roster via eConnect

Note: All instructions start from (www.dcccd.edu). You will need your 7-digit employee ID.

  1. Go to www.dcccd.edu to get to the District homepage.
  2. From the homepage, select eConnect.
  3. Under the Main Menu, select Faculty Menu.
  4. Under Class Information, select My Class Roster (XROP).
  5. Follow the instructions to Log In; enter your 7-digit employee ID number and password and then Submit. (Note: first-time users must put in their birthday as the password and change it during the next login attempt.)
  6. Select My Class Roster (XROP)

NOTE: First Time Users Only, there is a universal change to eConnect access, effective Fall 2005. All Faculty, Students and Staff are required to establish a Challenge Question/Answer. This is a one time process, any future attempts to log in, will not require you to set up the challenge question. You will be alerted a message to establish a Challenge Question before you can proceed. Click on the My Challenge Question to set up. Here you will choose from the drop down box a question, then input your answer twice. Once completed, a one-time screen will link you to select either Employee Menu or Exit Menu. Click on Employee Menu. This will take you back to the screen where the My Class Roster (XROP) selection will appear (Step Six). Select My Class Roster (XROP), then continue on to Step Seven.

NOTE: For future reference, if you forget your Challenge Question/Answer, you will be required to manually reset your question. This process is handled through the Registrar's office.

  7. Under My Class Roster (XROP), use the dropdown menu to select a term and then Submit. (Note: You do not have to enter "start and end" dates.)
  8. Under My Class Roster (XROP), you will see all of your classes. Under the column named "Choose One", select the box of the class you are ready to certify. Now, Submit (at the bottom of the page).
  9. You can now follow the Attendance Certification procedures.
    • The key date for attendance certification is Month XX, XXXX this upcoming Semester XXXX.
    • Make sure you select the box of the student(s) who has "never attended" or leave the boxes blank if all students attended at least once.
    • Make sure you select one of the "certification boxes" at the bottom of the page.
    • Finally, Submit to complete the certification process for that class.
