What if I don't pass?

If you don't pass all the tests the first time, you may take one or more of the tests again. In order to be eligible for re-testing you must take a GED Preparation Course or have a certified instructor tutor you. The instructor must give written notice stating that you are prepared to re-test. If you choose to not take a preparation course, then you must wait six months before you are eligible to re-test.
