How do I register?

Before you can take the GED tests, you must register to attend a GED orientation session by calling 972-860-7800. Orientation is offered twice a month, call for dates and times. The duration of the orientation is 2 hours and it is required in order for a candidate to test. All candidates must check-in 30 minutes prior to orientation. No late arrivals allowed.

You must present valid official government identification when you register and at every testing session. Only the following forms of identification will be accepted:

  • Passport
  • Military ID Card
  • Texas Drivers License
  • DPS Identification Card

*All eligible students must complete a online demographic form required by the Texas Education Agency prior to coming to GED orientation. A copy of the completed demographic form is requested at GED orientation. The demographic form can be accessed at www.utk16.org/scoring.
