Cedar Valley College is an active member of the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment ACUPCC). Through this program, we have committed to achieving emission neutrality and implementing sustainability concepts into our day-to-day operations.
At the Sustainable Communities Institute we are convinced that we can achieve a sustainable future. We have had the encouragement from partners such as the U.S. Department of Energy Building America program, Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) and supporters like the U.S. Green Building Council, Cedar Valley College created the Sustainable Communities Institute in 2005, and has re-launched the SCI as a virtual institute in fall of 2014.
Cedar Valley College offers the Residential Building Performance Technology program, which features two certificates and an Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences degree. All courses are available online.
Continuing Education courses for professionals & community members are also offered throughout the year.
