Cedar Valley College encourages all of its Students, Faculty, and Staff to be sustainable.
Cedar Valley College wants to do its part raise environmental awareness around campus. In this effort, we are encouraging sustainable practices not only in the day-to-day operations of the college, but additionally in the classroom and homes of our students and employees.
The CVC Sustainability Team and the Student's Green Club addresses the issues of campus emissions, informative events, and green practices around the campus.
Sustainability can be defined as:
"development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." - The Brundtland Report
Sustainability contains three guiding principles:
Doing things right and the right things for the people, planet and the economy.
Cedar Valley Green is an initiative that addresses these principles.
