Chief Community and Resource Development Officer

Patricia A. Davis has served as Chief, Community and Resource Development Officer of Cedar Valley College since 2008. She provides leadership over the following areas: Workforce Development and Contract Training, Continuing Education, Grant Development, and the CVC Small Business Development Center at Cedar Hill.

Ms. Davis is a senior executive professional with a diverse background that includes business and education. She has an excellent track record with proven leadership skills to build strong, motivated, proactive teams and the demonstrated ability to develop business, establish strategic partnerships, assess risk, make decisions, and respond to demanding needs of business and community.

During her tenure of over 22 years, she has served in the following executive leadership roles; Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Vice President of Business Development, for several large organizations. She established DCS Consulting Services in 2001, serving as Chief Executive Officer, offering business consulting services, including project management, sales, strategic planning, and other operational services.

Ms. Davis has established successful community partnerships to provide CVC student's scholarships for tuition and books. In 2008, she led fundraising efforts for Cedar Valley College's 30th Anniversary Celebration at the Morton Myerson Symphony Center in Dallas.

Under her leadership, the CVC SBDC at Cedar Hill received the prestigious 2013 SBDC of the Year Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration in the Dallas/Fort Worth District for providing excellent management counseling. This is the first time in the 21 year history of the Best Southwest SBDC that the Cedar Valley College SBDC at Cedar Hill received this award.

Ms. Davis is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and holds a Master of Education Degree from Kaplan University. She is a current member of Cedar Valley's Presidents Cabinet; providing leadership for Community Resource and Economic Development. She serves as a student mentor and as a mentor for the American Association for Women in Community College. She is a former Board Member, and Leadership SW Alumni, served as a Volunteer for Desoto Economic Development Corporation, , Keep Desoto Beautiful Board of Directors, and Board of Directors for Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce
